did ALL apps.,food was ok. Some dishes were very rich and mostly all were very salty! Raw Oysters were delicious!

This spot isn't half bad & if you're not in the mood for steak you can get Italian dishes because they serve this there as well. Bread with special sauce to cover it instead of butter is a nice touch. The pasta was great & also the servers do pretty good in recommending the best ones in case you hear of something & wondering "does this special be better than on the menu?" & will help you properly. Great double expresso as well.

Very pricey..all the things we had were either too salty or straight up bland as heck. the ribeye and oysters and beet salad were very good though. Wine is $12/glass

Only open for 2 weeks when we dined there! The service was excellent, we had a team of 3 people taking care of us - Diego was great! The wine list was very good. There is a reasonable $12 / glass or $50 bottle super Tuscan by Costello that was good. The menu was comprehensive with a nice raw bar, interesting appetizers, salads, flatbreads, pastas, meat and fish entrees. Not your basic Italian, more contemporary. We had a grilled octopus and special eggplant casserole for appetizers. Both were well prepared. Our entrees were a nice salmon dish, prepared to requested temperature with mushrooms and a cherry pepper. Gnocchi with pork and beef ribs was decadent. The sauce with the tender meat was excellent. The gnocchi was a bit large and needed more ricotta. Overall, a very good meal.

We don't get the mains when we come here. You have to try the Oyster Rockefeller. That's not on the menu but it deserves to be! It has sweet cream sauce and spinach on top of it. Octopus and naked clams are second and third on our list as well.

I was out in the poconos for July 4th weekend to do some adventure things, and ended up at mount airy casino for the night. Pretty sure after searching through yelp this was the nicest restaurant in the poconos. Just to preface I'm from New York so my standards are a little high. Atmosphere is definitely a dressy. The place was definitely poorly managed, staff was constantly wAiting by the bar for customer drinks and not out on the floor. Tho it was a holiday weekend and the manager had to work the bar, kudos to him. The food was very meh for how nice the place looked. The rib eye I got was over cooked for medium rare, but interestingly one side was medium and the other side was medium rare... Must have been under the warming lights for too long because wait staff was being held up by the bar. Sides were also mediocre. As well as the crudo, but what can you expect, you're not that close to a body of water. Wouldn't come back here next time

This is NOT Il Mulino. I have to start there because I would have expected any establishment carrying that branding would be top notch - Bistecca misses that mark but is a better than your average Pocono restaurant albeit considerably more expensive. I presume this replaces the Red steakhouse that had been the fine dining option at the casino for several years and does an okay job in doing so though I'm lost with how much is different except for the new name and renovated space. The space is quite nice with a contemporary look. Very clean and well maintained. The service is fine although I took it as a bit more scripted than genuine - our server pointed out favorites in each category of the menu. If you've been to Il Mulino you remember how good the pre-menu apps are - the bread basket is to die for, the chuck of Parmesan, zucc, etc. - the bread basket here is nothing special and the olive tapenade was underwhelming - it lacked any definitive taste. My wife had the lobster cocktail and I started with the scampi flat bread. I have nothing bad to say about either of these but they were short of inspiring. The lobster cocktail was a lobster tail with cocktail sauce and my flatbread had good consistency but an overpowering amount of pesto. Our drinks were good but again - a high average. I'm not a fan of spending elite mixologist prices for standard drinks. I had veal with pancetta which was a little dry - the marsala sauce was quite good and the mushrooms were well cooked and had a nice flavor. My wife had the gnocchi with ragu which I liked more than she did. The pasta was well cooked and had good consistency though I would have likes more bite sided gnocchi. Ragu was flavorful and tender. The best part of the meal was dessert. Two very good lattes and we opted for the zeppole with warm choco-hazelnut sauce for dipping. The zeppole were hot and tender on the inside with a nice crispy crust and not oily at all. A very nice finish to the meal.

Had drinks here before going to Guys, the bartender Juan Carlos was very nice and made excellent drinks. There specialty drinks are on point. The wine menu is done very well. Did not try the food I will next time im in.

In an area bombarded with fine dining venues, Bistecca is in a league of it's own. The atmosphere made our table feel as if we were alone in a fully packed room. Everything from the decor, to the music, to the lighting came together to create a uniquely intimate setting. The service, which including a main server and two side servers, was top notch. The drinks were refilled before they were empty, the dishes were removed when their purpose was fulfilled, and upon returning from the restroom, the napkin placed on the seat had been refolded and returned to the table. It truly felt like you were being waited on. Onto the important part, the food. We started with the steam clams. Superbly fresh and deliciously flavorful. The dozen disappeared and were quickly replaced with a 16oz NY Strip, perfectly cooked medium rare paired with one of three house sauces. The tenderness was close to butter melting down the back of your throat requiring little actually chewing at all. Somehow they even found a way to make the steamed spinach on the side bring something to the party. I wasn't sure there would be room for a dessert, but to my delight a nice cup of fresh berries arrived with an excellent cup of coffee, just the right touch to wrap up a sensational meal. I did peak around at what others were having and everything really looked amazing. I know their prices run on the steeper side, but I cannot say stress through this review just how much I enjoyed this meal. Let's sum it up by saying this, my visit took place nearly 3 weeks ago and the memory is still so vivid in my mind, I swear I still taste the steak on my tongue. You will not be disappointed! Bravo Bistecca! Keep up the amazing job!

Food and service was good. Walk in was no problem. Would recommend if you are staying at the casino.

We go out to eat quite frequently and have no problem paying for a good meal but this place is very overpriced for okay food. We started with appetizers of Octopus and also steamed clams. The octopus was ok and the clams were tiny and loaded with garlic. We also ordered what we were told was the best thing on the menu, filet mignon. Both were over cooked. Our sides were also over or under cooked. The male service team couldn't get their act together. We either got asked for things many times or not at all. Food was ok. Our bill for two steaks, two apps, two sides and 4 domestic beers was nearly $200, over with tip. (No salad, no dessert)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
